In 1964 I made, Jürgen Fiebig, first acquaintance with a German Shepherd. He had also won my heart so soon and was soon found, I will with their own dog athletes. After a trial period I was then from January 1965 a member of the underground organization Prenzlau, his time section Tracker Dogs beings (SDG), and started with the dog sport. The training, as well as the breeding of German Shepherds should then occupy a larger place in my life. It began training with my first German shepherd, a bitch named Anka from Kapwald. During this time I had to do another chore, 18-month military service at a canine unit.
But everything comes to an end!
The Anka I put 1966 my first SchH1 from and been passed ZTP, 5446/34 by the then Wertmeßziffern – system could begin breeding and indeed in the kennel “from Ratsberg”. From the first litter I had a very good dog, with whom I took off within 2 1/2 years SchH 1-3 and FH 1 u. 2 with flying colors. Even with the 2nd litter I had my 1st V males, Barry from Ratsberg 4547/33, bred.
Unforgettable – because after a few hours of enjoyment on the DDR-Winner Show 1971 my Barry was killed on the return trip from Leipzig.
So should then follow over the years many shows and a lot of testing, of course, still litters German shepherd dogs and always with the goal – beauty and power one unit!
It’s like this: Just by a beautiful bowl you can not eat and if the neighbor’s mongrel’s been nicer than many of our dogs, then took advantage of the highest scores nothing for breeding, because paired very good reason being, as well as the anatomy with knowledge, hard work and a lot of work, allowing only in breeding as a result of a good and very good material for dog breeders and our athletes.

In 1971 I was elected as trainers of GO Prenzlau. In this responsibility I stayed for many years, still on the turn out to 2004 in the SV Ortsgruppe Prenzlau.
1977 I had called the Secretariat of the Presidium of the SDG for Judges. This function I exercise today, according to age, no longer made.
In 1982 I was certified as a Wesenbeurteiler special Zuchtgemeinschaft German Shepherds. In this capacity, I was also for other breeds for ZTP-en and breed surveys in use. This, realized in the SZG D.- Shepherds system Wertmeßziffern was for all races, who belonged to the SDG, acquired over the years. With the turn you did not recognize the importance of this system for breeding so that was unfortunately lost. Maybe you invent the bicycle still a 2nd time.
In 1986 I was appointed to the function of the district chairman DSH, in that capacity in the Bureau of SDG. So it remained until the turn.
In Hundesport the union went quite fast. Today a lot of dog trainers and breeders from East and West together in the club for German Shepherd Dogs (SV) e. V. are united.
Here in the OG Prenzlau I took over from 2005 to 2007 as chairman.
My sporting highlights were in all the years that many top places at county championships / District Best – investigations and with a home-grown males, the two-time participation in DDR – championships for all working dog breeds (1977 u 1980th), both times the 22nd place.
To date, there are more than 100 exams taken. The fighters: SchH 1-3, 1-3 FH, PSH 1-3, PFH, WH, from the turn came even AD, BH, and IPO range to.
In 1981 I met my wife, Karin, to know. For them, as the years passed the Eingewöhnens collect with the dogs, experience. In the nineties, the bitch Heda from Wattenscheid came for fresh blood to us. With its rearing, work and to learn, the desire grew even take exams.
1997 Karin was a member of the DVG and it was followed by the first self-exams. By Heda it was the SchH 1 u. 2, and IP 1 u. 2.
