1. CONTEST PERIOD
The Fuel A Hero German Shepherd Contest begins on [START DATE] at [TIME] Arizona Time and ends on [END DATE] at [TIME] Arizona Time.
Nominations and votes received after the closing time will not be counted.
The winner will be announced on or about [WINNER ANNOUNCEMENT DATE].
2. ELIGIBILITY
The contest is open to legal residents of the 48 contiguous United States and the District of Columbia, age 18 or older at the time of entry.
The nominated dog must be a German Shepherd Dog or German Shepherd mix predominantly identifiable as a German Shepherd.
Dogs do not need to be DDR, East German, registered, titled, working dogs, or pedigreed to participate.
No purchase is necessary to enter or win.
Employees, contractors, and individuals directly involved in administering the contest, and members of their immediate households, are not eligible to win.
3. HOW TO ENTER
To nominate a dog:
- Post a photograph of the nominated dog in the comments of the official Fuel A Hero Facebook contest post.
- Include the dog’s name and tell us why that dog is your hero.
- The person submitting the nomination must either own the photograph or have permission to post and use it for the contest.
Limit one nomination per dog and [NUMBER] nominated dog(s) per person/household.
Duplicate nominations may be combined or removed.
There is no fee or purchase required to enter.
4. FREE AIM INTELLIGENCE PROFILE™
Every eligible nominated dog may receive a FREE AIM Intelligence Profile™.
The profile is a personalized nutritional assessment based upon information provided by the dog’s owner or authorized caretaker.
To create the profile, the owner may be required to complete AIM Pet Food’s dog intake questionnaire and provide information concerning the dog’s age, weight, activity, current diet, goals and other relevant information.
One free contest Intelligence Profile™ per eligible nominated dog.
The Intelligence Profile™ is informational and nutritional in nature and is not veterinary diagnosis, treatment, or medical advice.
5. COMMUNITY VOTING — VOTE WITH YOUR HEART
The community chooses the winning Hero.
Read their stories. Meet their dogs. Then vote for the story that touched you most.
Each Facebook reaction placed directly on an eligible nomination comment counts as one vote, regardless of reaction type.
Participants are encouraged to invite friends, family and other German Shepherd enthusiasts to read the nominations and vote.
Entrants may also ask others to like or share the main contest post.
Purchasing votes, using automated voting systems, fake accounts, bots, vote exchanges, or other artificial methods of generating reactions is prohibited.
AIM Pet Food and DDRGermanShepherd.com reserve the right to disregard votes reasonably believed to be fraudulent, automated, purchased, duplicated through fake accounts, or otherwise manipulated.
6. WINNER
Subject to verification, the eligible nominated dog receiving the greatest number of valid community votes at the close of the contest will be named the Fuel A Hero winner.
In the event of a tie, [TIEBREAKER — e.g., a panel selected by AIM Pet Food and DDRGermanShepherd.com will choose between the tied entries based upon the submitted Hero stories.]
The potential winner will be contacted through Facebook and/or the contact information supplied during the AIM Intelligence Profile™ process.
If the potential winner cannot be contacted, does not respond within [72 HOURS], is found ineligible, or cannot accept the prize, another eligible finalist may be selected.
7. GRAND PRIZE — THE AIM TREATMENT
The winning dog will receive the full AIM treatment.
AIM Pet Food will:
- Build the dog’s AIM Intelligence Profile™;
- Match the dog with a Profile Chef;
- Develop a personalized nutrition mission based upon the individual dog’s profile; and
- Provide approximately one month of the personalized AIM nutrition created for that dog, subject to AIM Pet Food’s normal feeding calculations and portion recommendations.

One goal: More Good Years™.
The winning dog may also be featured in a Fuel A Hero / Hero Story published by AIM Pet Food and/or DDRGermanShepherd.com and their associated social-media channels.
The prize has no cash alternative and may not be transferred, sold, or redeemed for cash.
8. FOOD AND SHIPPING LIMITATIONS
The food portion of the prize is available only where AIM Pet Food can legally and practically prepare and ship the applicable personalized nutrition.
Prize shipment is limited to a valid deliverable address within the 48 contiguous United States.
Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, international destinations, P.O. boxes where refrigerated delivery is unavailable, and locations AIM’s carrier cannot reasonably service are excluded from food-prize fulfillment.
AIM Pet Food reserves the right to make reasonable ingredient or formulation substitutions based upon ingredient availability, shipping requirements, safety, and information contained in the winning dog’s profile.
9. DOG HEALTH AND NUTRITION INFORMATION
Owners are responsible for providing complete and accurate information concerning their dogs.
Participation does not establish a veterinarian-client-patient relationship.
AIM Pet Food nutrition profiles, recommendations and foods are not substitutes for veterinary diagnosis or treatment. Owners should consult their veterinarian regarding diagnosed medical conditions, medications, allergies, therapeutic diets, or significant dietary changes when appropriate.
10. PHOTOGRAPHS, STORIES AND PERMISSION
By submitting an entry, the entrant represents that they have the right to submit the photograph and story.
Entrants grant AIM Pet Food and DDRGermanShepherd.com permission to display, repost and share the submitted contest photograph, dog’s name and submitted Hero story in connection with the contest, winner announcement and promotion of Fuel A Hero, with attribution where reasonably practical.
Ownership of the original photograph remains with its owner.
No unrelated commercial use of an entrant’s photograph is granted by these rules without additional permission.
11. DISQUALIFICATION AND CONTEST INTEGRITY
AIM Pet Food and DDRGermanShepherd.com may disqualify an entry or invalidate votes for fraud, manipulation, false information, abusive conduct, violation of these rules, or conduct that compromises the fairness or integrity of the contest.
The sponsors may modify, suspend, extend, or cancel the contest if technical problems, Facebook outages, fraud, circumstances beyond their reasonable control, or other events materially interfere with fair administration of the contest.
Any material change will be announced publicly on the contest post or associated page.
12. PRIVACY
Information supplied for an AIM Intelligence Profile™ will be used to prepare the dog’s profile, administer the contest, communicate with the entrant, and provide the services requested by the entrant.
Any separate marketing or promotional communications will be handled in accordance with applicable law and AIM Pet Food’s privacy practices.
13. FACEBOOK DISCLAIMER
This promotion is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook or Meta.
By participating, entrants acknowledge that Facebook is not responsible for the administration of the contest or fulfillment of any prize.
